Hibagon Mobile Data
Mobile storage in the form of a suitcase
RNT Rausch announced the Hibagon Mobile Data, a suitcase with a handle. The device will help to physically transfer large amounts of data between different offices, cloud sites, etc.
The solution measures 435 x 415 x 330 mm and weighs approximately 17 kg. Allows the installation of eight LFF drives and the organization of RAID arrays. Storage uses the Open ZFS file system. For a wired connection to the network, there are two SFP + optical ports and two RJ45 connectors: in both cases up to 10 Gb/s bandwidth is provided. There are also several USB ports.
Modifications of the Hibagon Mobile Data, equipped with hard drives with a capacity of 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 TB, are offered. The maximum usable capacity reaches 140TB. The storage system supports files (NFS, SMB, AFP), objects (S3, CloudSync) and blocks (iSCSI, Cinder, VAAI) and FTP support. It is assumed that the new product will help transfer large amounts of data to remote locations as well as backup in case of emergencies. The storage operating temperature range extends from +5 to +40 °C, and storage and transport are possible at temperatures from -40 to +60 °C. The manufacturer declares compliance with the IP45 standard as well as protection against shock. The declared power consumption is around 200 watts. The system is powered by 110–240 VAC.
