Do you know how to use the universal clipboard on your iPhone, Mac and iPad?

This function, if you still don't know what it is, has a series of conditions to configure it and make it work. No compatibility issues as it's been present in the Apple ecosystem since iOS 10. Ultimately, your device must meet the system requirements for Continuity.

It's a function Apple uses to precisely use various functions that allow your Mac and other devices to work together, and you can switch devices without interrupting your work.

With the Universal Clipboard, you can copy content such as text, images, photos and videos to one Apple device and paste to another. If you want to know exactly how this tool works, just follow a few simple steps to copy from one device and paste to another, like an iPhone to a Mac:

Copy text, image, video, or other content to a device as you normally would. You can also copy entire files from one Mac to another with Universal Clipboard. Obviously, every Mac model requires macOS High Sierra or later versions.

Content automatically added to the clipboard of the nearest device. It will stay there for a while or until you replace it by copying something new to some device.

On the other device, paste the content.

Universal clipboard doesn't work: copy from iPhone and paste on Mac...To set up the universal clipboard, you must meet a number of conditions that we referred to earlier. Precisely this may be one of the reasons why the universal clipboard doesn't work for you, and that's because you didn't configure it correctly before using it:

-All devices have an iCloud login with the same Apple ID.

-All devices they have bluetooth enabled.

-Devices have the Wi-Fi connection enabled.

-All devices have Handoff enabled.

To enable this last function, go to the Apple menu on the Mac, select “System Preferences” and then click “General” Choose “Allow transfer between this Mac and your iCloud devices”. It can also be done from the iPhone by entering Settings, ”General”> ”Do not interfere” Y ”Enable Handoff”.

In theory, it should work fine if everything is correct, although that is not always the case. For this extreme case, you will have to carry out extreme measures, which will consist of the following:

-Restart both devices after setting up the universal clipboard.

-Turn on and off bluetooth connection.

-Reset Wi-Fi connection.

-Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.

-Sign out of your iCloud account and sign in again. This step will have to be performed on one device and another.

Now the universal clipboard should work without a hitch for copying and pasting text, images or videos across Apple's entire ecosystem.
