The brand's first generation tablet is a rugged Android device with a 10,000 mAh battery

Oukitel is currently teasing the RT1, a device that runs Android 11 from within a 'tough' chassis with IP68 and IP69K ratings. However, it is not a smartphone as it is more usual for the brand, but its inaugural tablet instead.

With a 10.1-inch diagonal length with an FHD resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the RT1 brings reasonable, if just slightly outdated, display specs to Oukitel's newly adopted form-factor. Then again, as the OEM skirts around mentioning a panel type in its marketing material, it is also probably LCD rather than something like AMOLED.

The tablet's screen is kept on with a 10,000mAh battery - which makes it top-end in its market in that respect, admittedly - and driven by a MediaTek Helio P22 paired to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Therefore, while there are no other top-end attributes here, there is at least 4G/LTE as well as Wi-Fi.

Finally, Oukitel has equipped the RT1 with 16MP cameras from Samsung on both its front and back and with a fingerprint sensor. Therefore, it may take on other companies such as Durabook in pitching its latest offering at those who might need to like to bring their tablet outdoors or into hazardous environments and are liable to drop it into dangerous things.

The Oukitel RT1 is currently listed on AliExpress with a normal price of US$260 (an amount that might change based on the consumer location). However, it will go as little as $200 in the run-up to its formal launch on November 25, 2021.
