Brand has an international version of the 9RT ready to debut in India

Many smartphone enthusiasts may have hoped for a more accessible shot at OnePlus-themed premium specs, the Snapdragon 888 platform and 50MP main camera with OIS included, when the brand made the 9RT official. However, unfortunately, the phone has yet to make it outside of China to date.

However, some new leaks suggest that the device might make it to at least 1 new market by the end of 2021. The Google Play Console listing that hints at this possibility seems to have a critical discrepancy, however, in that it calls the device in question the RT rather than the 9RT.

Nevertheless, its specs as outlined do match those of the recent ostensible T-series replacement, an FHD+ display and an Android 11-based ROM included. Furthermore, an image included with the new leak also resembles the pre-existing 9RT.

Furthermore, the apparent rebrand is corroborated by a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) registration, alongside the model number OP5154L1, linked to the Chinese 9RT. Therefore, the well-known leaker Mukul Sharma now proposes that, based on these new tips, OnePlus India might well roll out teasers for the RT soon.
