Macro mode on iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 15.2 Beta is made easier

The latest beta version of iOS 15.2 simplifies the iPhone 13 Pro's macro mode by adding a button that lets you conveniently turn on and off when needed, without having to go to the smartphone's Settings app. If Auto Macro mode is turned off, a flower icon will appear if you bring your smartphone closer to an object in viewfinder mode(image below). Thus, iOS offers to activate the Auto Macro mode and use a sensor specially designed for taking pictures. Pressing this icon again disables macro mode and re-enables the main sensor.

When the iPhone 13 was released on the market, many analysts criticized the device for automatically switching the smartphone to macro mode without giving the user a choice or informing them about changing the sensor in the camera's interface. Apple fixed this by adding a switch to disable Auto Macro mode for the Camera option in the smartphone settings. However, this solution is hardly convenient, as to use it it is necessary to exit the Camera application.

Apple beta program participants can now install iOS 15.2 Beta 2 on their devices. The innovation will be available to a wide range of users after the release of stable iOS 15.2, which will take place in the near future.
