Apple has expanded its leadership in the wearable market. A survey conducted by the American consultancy IDC revealed that the apple company now holds 34.2% of the sale of all products in the segment in the second quarter of this year. The company increased its sales by just 0.9% in the quarter. Of the total devices sold, the South Korean company accounts for only 8.3%. In 2019, the share was 9.4%.
The negative highlight of the list is with FitBit. The American company that recently announced another watch sold 2.5 million devices - mainly smart bracelets - in the quarter. The number is 29.2% lower than that registered in the same quarter of 2019. As a result, the company's share in the sector fell from 4.6% to 2.9%.
