ULEFONE

Brand innovates with the first 5G armored smartphone

Chinese company Ulefone is well known for its robust Armor series smartphones, which offer very advanced technical features in an “indestructible” case. The company today released a teaser of the Armor 8 5G device, which will be the world's first fifth-generation smartphone in a shock-resistant case.
The video demonstrates that the Ulefone Armor 8 5G has a real speed of 443 Mbps for reception and 114 Mbps for data transmission. The measurement was carried out on the network of Chinese mobile operator China Telecom. It is important to note that the design of the smartphone is no different from what we saw earlier in the basic version of Armor 8, which is satisfied with LTE support. The new device should feature a MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM. The built-in storage capacity will be 128 GB. The diagonal Full HD + screen of the smartphone will be 6.7 inches and the front camera will be located in the notch in the shape of a drop of water at the top of it.
It is recalled that the title of the first smartphone protected with 5G support was previously assigned by Ulefone to its Armor 6 device, presented in late 2018, but for unknown reasons ended up in the series without support for fifth generation networks. There is still no information on the cost of Armor 8 5G. For reference, the 4G version of Ulefone Armor 8, based on the MediaTek Helio P60 chip, costs US $40 for the basic version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The novelty must be more expensive, but only a little.
