Zero Terminal 3: A modular mini-PC based on a Raspberry Pi with a touchscreen and a battery

The Zero Terminal 3 is a compact mini-PC based on a Raspberry Pi. The device has a 1080p touchscreen, a built-in battery and a keyboard.
NODE has returned with a portable mini-PC. Last year, the project developed a DIY home server based on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ that could store your browsing data locally, rather than sending it remote servers. Now, it has used the popular single-board computer (SBC) to realise the Zero Terminal 3, which is arguably a more ambitious project.
The Zero Terminal 3 is based on the Raspberry Pi Zero and is closer to the design of a smartphone than a conventional mini-PC. NODE has incorporated a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display from Waveshare that operates at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The panel is AMOLED and currently retails for US$119.99.

NODE has also included a USB 2.0 Type-A port and a micro USB port for charging the device's 1,200 mAh battery. There is a headphone jack and control buttons too, among other components. All these are connected via custom PCBs, which somewhat limits the option of building a Terminal 3 yourself.
NODE hopes to update the design over the next year though, with a view to eventually helping people to build a Terminal 3 from scratch. You can follow the project on NODE or Zero Terminal.
