Russian search engine ends support for social network Aura
The mobile social network project “Aura”, presented by “Yandex” in March 2019, will be closed in its current form. This is reported by the RBC, referring to information received from the press service of the Russian IT giant.
The Aura service was created as a platform for meeting and communicating with new people. The main feature of the platform is that artificial intelligence is responsible for selecting the interlocutors.
"Chat and meet new people online in a new way. Here your posts will be seen not by subscribers or friends, but by strangers who may be interested in it," says the social network's website.
In the past six months, the Aura project has developed as a separate and independent service outside Yandex, which owns 49% of the site. And recently, the development team made the decision to end the experiment and close the service in its current form.

Note that the service will cease to exist within a week. The Yandex portion will be sold to the current project manager German Tsarev.
It is not specified whether a new online service based on Aura assets will be launched in the future.
