Death of former Edge decreed

In January of this year, Microsoft officially launched the updated Edge browser based on the Chromium engine. It brought many new features, including support for Chrome extensions and more. It is no secret that the new browser will soon completely replace the outdated version. And then Microsoft announced that Windows 10 20H2 will ship with Chromium Edge for the first time.
In addition, the software giant has announced that it is preparing to drop support for the old version of Edge. This means that the browser will soon stop receiving security updates, making it less usable for daily use. This will happen on March 9, 2021. In addition, Microsoft has announced that many of its web services, such as Office and Teams, will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. 



Teams will no longer support IE 11 on November 30 and other Microsoft 365 applications on August 17, 2021.
However, you won't be bored with Internet Explorer 11. The new Edge features IE mode, which is designed to be fully compatible with legacy applications and websites. Unfortunately, this feature is only available to business users.
