TCL

The fourth generation of the brand's new smartphone features an ultra-thin bottom frame
The Chinese company TCL, known for producing low-cost TVs, as well as phones with the brands TCL, BlackBerry and Alcatel, spoke about the latest achievements in the field of creating displays for smartphones.
It turns out that TCL is the supplier of screens for the powerful Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, announced the day before. Remember that this device is equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD + screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As noted, the applied panel provides full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. It supports 4096 levels of automatic brightness adjustment. The contrast reaches 5,000,000: 1, brightness - 1120 cd / m2. Finally, HDR 10+ support is mentioned.

In addition, TCL announced the development of a smartphone screen with an ultra-thin bottom frame. Its width is only 2.4 mm. This is about 20% less than the products already available in the company's line.
Using the new panel will allow you to create smartphones with a virtually frameless screen on all four sides. Unfortunately, there is no information about when such devices appeared on the commercial market.
