RAZER

Brand launches left-handed mouse with 20 buttons

Although more than 10% of the population uses lefties better than right-handed users, left-handed gaming mice are rare. Razer remains one of the few companies aimed at these players and, on the next day of the southpaw, launched a special version of the wired Naga gaming mouse.
The Razer Naga Left-handed Edition is not a universal mouse that can be used with both hands, but a special version with an ergonomic design for left-handed users. A set of twelve function buttons is located on the right and can be accessed by the left thumb. Razer positions this block to control a set of spells and abilities in MMOs, but they can also be used in other applications.
In total, the mouse has 20 programmable buttons and has internal memory that allows you to save up to 5 configuration profiles directly in the manipulator, and not in the application or in the cloud.
Razer notes that the customized version of the mouse requires the company to spend more on retrofitting and additional quality checks. The left-handed Naga was due to go on sale last year, but the launch has been delayed due to low demand.
"Designing a left-handed mouse was a difficult task due to the high costs involved. The problem is compounded by the lack of demand, which has been observed more than once for initiatives similar to ours. Particularly indicative were the fundraising for the Kickstarter that we launched in 2018, "said Razer. So the company managed to raise only about 8 thousand.

The mouse is built on the Focus + sensor with a resolution of 20,000 dpi and the best reading accuracy of 99.6%. Razer says the sensor has intelligent tracking that automatically calibrates the mouse to a new surface, ensuring consistent takeoff distance and accuracy. And the asymmetric distance function allows you to shorten the distance that the mouse continues to reduce the movement of the cursor when it returns to the surface.
Like most other Razer gaming mice, the Naga uses a 2.1 m (7 ft) Speedflex cable to connect to a PC via USB. Mechanical switches guarantee up to 50 million clicks.
The left-handed edition of the Razer Naga costs $9.99 in the US, which is slightly more expensive than the normal version.
Left-handed Day was celebrated on August 13, one of its goals - to draw manufacturers' attention to the problems of people who experience increasing stress when they need to work with their right hands, which leads to various difficulties and even accidents.
