APPLE

New store will literally float

Apple has confirmed plans to build its first official water store in Singapore, according to The Straits Times. The vaulted pavilion is close to the Marina Bay Sands resort. The store's opening date is still kept secret.
"It will be a place where you can explore, communicate and create something new," explains the ads page on Apple's official website.
The Apple store is reportedly replacing the fragmented crystal pavilion that once housed the Avalon nightclub. The company installed glass panels on the facade, which will reflect the skyline during the day and Singapore's night lights after sunset.
"The shape of the structure indicates a totally new layout for the store," adds the store's website, indicating that the pavilion will be lit by a circular window at the top of the dome.
Like the original Crystal Pavilion, it will be connected by an underwater tunnel to the nearest shopping center. The spectacular dome will be the third Apple store in Singapore. She built her first store at Knightsbridge Mall in 2017 and then opened a second store at Jewel Changi Airport in July 2019.
Opening a new retail store now that most companies are still recovering from the coronavirus pandemic is a bold move, even for Apple. For example, Microsoft itself has announced that it will close all of its physical stores and redirect four of them, located in London, New York, Sydney and Redmond, into support and service centers.
