Brand new PF5PU1G model has Linux OS and AMD processor

Most Linux laptops available on the market use Intel processors. There are also models based on ARM chips. At the same time, devices that combine Linux and an AMD processor are quite rare: this is exactly the package used on the Tongfang PF5PU1G laptop.
The novelty is made on an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U chip. This product combines four cores with the ability to process up to eight instruction threads. The base frequency is 2.1 GHz, turbo mode - up to 3.7 GHz. Graphics processor occupied, integrated accelerator Radeon Vega 8.
The laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD), a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a coverage of 72% of the NTSC color space. There is an HDMI 2.0 interface for outputting images to an external monitor or TV.



The maximum configuration includes 32 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. The installation of two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x4 solid state modules.
The laptop's arsenal includes Intel AX200 802.11ax (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters, a 1 megapixel webcam, a Gigabit LAN network controller, USB Type C 3.2 Gen1, USB Type A 3.2 Gen1 and USB type A 2.0.
The dimensions are 356.4 × 233.7 × 16.8 mm, weight - 1.4 kg. The claimed battery life on a single battery charge reaches 14 hours.



Customers will be able to choose from several Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint and elementary OS. The price of a laptop is 769 euros.
