See how many 5G networks have been deployed worldwide

Counterpoint Technology Market Research estimated that 93 fifth generation (5G) commercial cellular networks were operating worldwide by mid-July this year. Thus, a reference mark will soon be obtained - the first hundred.
Note that most 5G networks were launched in Western Europe - 29. The Asia-Pacific region is in second place, with 23 operational networks. Another 12 networks operate in the Middle East, 11 networks in Eastern Europe.
In the coming years, analysts predict that the 5G market will grow rapidly. Therefore, within five years of the launch of the first fifth generation networks (in April 2019), the total number of 5G connections will exceed 1.7 billion and almost half - 47% - of that number will come from China.

Note that in 2023, 5G penetration in the United States and Canada will exceed 50%. In the European market, this number will be around 26%.
By the end of this year, the largest supplier of smartphones supporting 5G is expected to become the Chinese giant Huawei, with 31% of the market. The second place will be occupied by Apple, with a 30% share, and the "bronze" will be for Samsung - 12%.
