IT market will seriously decline in 2020 due to coronavirus

Gartner has made a new forecast for the global information technology (IT) market: costs in this area this year will decrease amid a pandemic and economic crisis.
The data provided takes into account the delivery of systems to data centers, the supply of enterprise-class software and various equipment, as well as costs in the field of communication services and various IT services.
In 2019, the global market in monetary terms is estimated to amount to 81 trillion. This year, a 7.3% decline is forecast: as a result, costs will fall to 53 billion.
Cost reduction is expected in all segments, without exception. Therefore, in the data center systems sector, a 10.3% decline is expected to reach 88.37 million. 



Sales of enterprise-class software will fall 5.7% to 49.5 million. Demand for all types of devices will decline in monetary terms by 16.1% - up to 96.9 million The volume of the IT services segment will be 69.4 million, down 6.8% from the previous year. Finally, communication services will bring 33 brillion - minus 3.3%.
In 2021, the market will start to recover: total IT costs will increase 4.3%, reaching 68 billion.
