Users complain about intrusive advertising on the new Edge

Microsoft can revise its advertising campaign to promote the new Edge browser. Consideration of this problem began after numerous requests from users who were not satisfied with pop-up alerts requesting the installation of a browser. These messages appeared among users of the Bing search engine, even when they were launched in the Edge browser.
Microsoft and Google are actively using their own web resources to promote Edge and Chrome browsers. However, users do not like pop-up advertising messages that usually appear on Google services and on Microsoft websites.
Not long ago, as part of a campaign to promote Edge, users of the Microsoft Bing search engine started showing a banner that appeared after any request was made. The pop-up window is shown in all popular browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox, and in some cases in the Edge browser, which is quite strange.
"Download the new Microsoft Edge to get the best out of the Internet," said one of those messages. Many users were not happy with this policy, citing the fact that browser ads are irritating and interfering.

The developers turned their attention to user requests, who reported that this problem is currently being studied by the Microsoft marketing team.
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are very sorry that these notifications interfere with comfortable working, especially when using Microsoft Edge. Obviously, this is not the experience we are committed to providing, and we take these reports seriously," commented a representative Microsoft on this matter, he also assured that the problem is being considered by marketers and asked users to submit relevant reports through the available feedback channels.
