APPLE

European advertisers didn't like the privacy controls of iOS 14

A group of European digital advertising companies backed by Google criticized Apple for new requirements that require applications to request additional user permissions before transferring their data to third parties.
Sixteen marketing associations, most supported by Facebook and Alphabet, accused Apple of not adhering to the established advertising industry system. Allegedly, as applications will request some permissions twice, the risk of user failure will increase.
Remember that last week, Apple introduced during WWDC 2020 new privacy and transparency controls that will be integrated into iOS 14. Now, developers will be forced to obtain user consent before accessing their data. The operating system will display a window with a notification that a third-party application wants to obtain permission to track user actions. Below, information will be posted from the developer, who states why the app needs this data.

Advertisers say that due to the very limited ability to set up notifications about a request to access user data, the number of customer refusals to provide their personal data may increase.
