The new features in Google Meet

It has become known that Google developers are preparing to add several new features to the Meet video conferencing service. Soon, Google Meet will receive a background blur function, support for captions, etc.
The source says that in the new version of Google Meet, users will be able to use a feature that blurs the background during video calls or replaces it with any image. As a background, you can use any custom image or one of the options that the service offers.
In addition, Google Meet will receive real-time caption support, the ability to view conference participants in a mosaic, as well as a way to improve video quality in low light. Google did not specify when exactly the new features will be available to a wide variety of users, but now some of them are provided to customers in the education and corporate segments.
Last month, Google integrated the Meet service into Gmail, adding a link to the sidebar. Just have a Google account to organize video conferences with up to 100 people. Google is working hard to keep up with Zoom, the most popular video conferencing service that is actively used around the world, not only at work, but also in training, talking with friends and family.
It is worth mentioning that Google is gradually increasing the user base of its videoconferencing service. According to reports, more than 100 million people use Meet daily.
