Android 10 update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T may have introduced a notable bug

The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T finally received the stable Android 10 update weeks ago—the third major OS update the phones have received. Sadly, though, the update seems to have broken an important feature on the phone, and owners aren't too thrilled about it.
Weeks ago, OnePlus finally started sending out the stable Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.0 update to its older phones, the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. It would seem, however, that the update broke something a tad important on the phones.
According to multiple complaints from OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T owners, the Android 10 update broke the call recording function. The complaints are widespread, so it's safe to say it's a nigh-universal bug. For some, the update completely changed the quality of the recording app, turning voices robotic and synthetic, with speech speed also affected. For others, it appears the update removed the call recording app entirely.
This isn't the first time an update has broken a feature like this. In fact, as far back as 2018, owners of the OnePlus 3T made similar complaints after an update removed the call recording feature. Call recording is a feature difficult to implement as standard due to the legislature in different regions. For example, Xiaomi removed the feature for most EU users earlier this year.
