Chinese company develops LCDs with full-screen fingerprint scanner

According to new information from China, TCL Huaxing has developed a technology that allows incorporating a single point fingerprint sensor under the LCD matrix. In addition, it is reported that this year the company began to develop technology for full screen multipoint fingerprint recognition with devices with liquid crystal displays, which will be shown in 2021.

Another significant advantage is that the area reserved for the fingerprint scanner does not stand out from OLED monitors. However, TCL is not the only Chinese company involved in development in this area. Last year, there were rumors that Huawei and Xiaomi are working on LCDs with a fingerprint scanner on the screen. However, their devices have not yet been introduced.
