NOKIA

Brand unveils new Smart TV with Android, JBL sound and built-in Chromecast support

Nokia has announced a new Smart TV, complementing the 55-inch model that it released some time ago. The new 43-inch model features Android TV, integrated JBL speakers and supports 4K HDR10 content.
Nokia has released a new Smart TV, the 43CAUHDN. As its name suggests, the TV has a 43-inch display and operates natively in 4K. Currently, the TV can be ordered on Flipkart for INR 31,999 (~US$423)). However, the retailer claims that the price will only apply during the pre-order period. After that period ends, Flipkart claims that it will charge INR 52,999 (~US$701) for the 43CAUHDN. TV will be available in Europe for the foreseeable future. The 43CAUHDN will only be available in India, just like the 55CAUHDN.

The 43CAUHDN runs on a CA53 quad-core processor, which can reach 1 GHz when required. There is also 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, along with 24 W JBL speakers. The TV supports Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround, too. Separately, the 4K panel has a 60 Hz refresh rate and peaks at 300 nits. Additionally, Nokia claims that the TV has a 1,100:1 contrast ratio and a 178°. The 43CAUHDN also supports 4K upscaling, Dolby Vision, MEMC motion compensation and HDR10.
The 43CAUHDN runs on Android 9.0 TV, which allows it to support Chromecast and Google Assistant. The TV has three HDMI outputs and two USB ports, along with built-in Wi-Fi. The 43CAUHDN can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks though and supports up to 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.
