A probable iQOO Z1 shows up on Geekbench ahead of its launch

The iQOO Z1 is currently touted as the MediaTek Dimensity 1000  SoC-powered twin of the Snapdragon 865-driven Neo3 smartphone. A phone with a model number that may belong to the former has surfaced on Geekbench 5. It points to 8GB of RAM and Android 10 for this upcoming device.
Recently, the iQOO Z1 reportedly appeared on the AnTuTu website in order to demonstrate what its refreshed MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor can do ahead of its launch. Now, a new leak may illustrate how that ~530,000 score translates to a second benchmark.
This one, Geekbench 5, now exhibits multiple new listings for the "vivo V1986A", currently believed to be the Z1's model number. Should this be the case, it seems that of the Dimensity 1000+ is MT6889Z/CZA. It is characterized as an 8-core chipset with a clockspeed of 2.0GHz, which does line up with the 1000+'s specs so far.

Therefore, it seems this SoC is capable of reliably achieving single-core scores of at least 754, with multi-score points of at least 2886, in Geekbench 5 terms. Then again, the Vivo V1981A, or iQOO Neo3, has been seen reproducibly grabbing single- and multi-core scores of over 900 and 3000 respectively on the same benchmark. However, the Z1's real-world performance may yet help give it an edge. Its less theoretical differences from the Neo3 should start to become apparent from its May 19, 2020 launch date.
