New alleged live images may confirm the 'Zoom' in "Realme X3 SuperZoom"
Realme is currently believed to update its X series with a variant that may sell based on the periscope-lens spec of its rear camera array. A Thai blog has recently claimed to have obtained photos of a real-world unit of this phone, donated by 2 prominent leakers. They may demonstrate that the SuperZoom does in fact live up to its name.
According to some up-to-date leaks, the Realme X3 series may succeed the X2s with vanilla and SuperZoom variants. The latter is rumored to have an 8MP f/3.4 telephoto camera with up to 5X optical and 60X digital zoom. A new leak may set this potential selling point in stone.
It has reportedly come courtesy of the Thai media outlet TechHangOut, which claimed to have procured new unboxing-style images of the X3 SuperZoom originally posted by the reliable tipsters DigitalChatStation and Ishan Agarwal.
One of these photos may leave no doubt as to the nature of its vertically-aligned quad rear cameras: the uppermost is square, usually only indicative of a periscope lens.
The "SuperZoom" is also shown from all angles and with the contents of its original packaging. One of these images shows that its power button is markedly recessed into its frame, thus hinting at a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
This is slightly odd, as the X3 variant's display is linked to a range of other high-end specs, which include a 6.6-inch diagonal length and a 120 hertz (Hz) refresh rate. However, the article allegedly containing its new images has since been reported as pulled from this TechHangOut website, rendering the entire leak slightly sketchy.
Then again, DigitalChatStation is still displaying them via their Weibo account (correct at time of writing).
