ONE-NETBOOK

One-GX 1Pro 7-inch laptop powered by Intel Tiger Lake-Y CPUs gets leaked specs, scheduled to go up for pre-orders on May 30

Unlike the GPD Win Max models that come with Intel Ice Lake CPUs, One-Netbook's One-GX1 mini laptops are supposed to be powered by Tiger Lake-Y CPUs, but these chips do not have a clear release date as of now, so, even though the One-GX1 is scheduled to go up for pre-orders on May 30, we might not get to see it in action until late Q3 at best.
Back in April, we were reporting on the latest developments surrounding One-Netbook’s One-GX1 alternative to the refreshed GPD Win Max. One-Netbook was apparently waiting out on GDP to make a move, and this recently came with the announcement of the Indiegogo campaign for the Win Max, which unveiled the pre-order prices. In response, One-Netbook just announced that a One-GX “Fashion Edition” will be up for pre-orders starting May 30, but the exact specs are still shrouded in mystery. Additionally, One-Netbook managed to obtain license for a limited Gundam edition, and there are also rumors regarding an even more powerful model named One-GX 1Pro that could be released later this year.

One advantage that the One-GX1 is supposed to have over the GPD Win Max is the inclusion of Tiger Lake-Y 9 W processors with 50% faster iGPUs over the Ice Lake family. However, the Tiger Lake models are expected to launch later in the second half of this year, so the One GX1 “Fashion Edition” will most likely integrate Ice Lake CPUs, unless One-Netbook is planning to ship the new mini laptops whenever Tiger Lake hits the market.
The May 30 pre-order announcement also includes more details about the wireless gaming controller. Unlike the GPD Win Max that has the gaming controller embedded in the laptop case above the keyboard, the One-GX1 controller comes separate. It uses the 2.4 GHz wireless spectrum and is quite similar to the Nintendo Switch controller in that it can be attached on each side of the mini laptop or it can be used separately with the wireless function. Users may even split the controller in two for multiplayer games.

Thanks to a leak coming from the Baidu forums, we now know that the One-GX 1Pro model includes the following specs:
7-inch 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display
I3 / i5 / i7 Intel Tiger Lake-Y CPUs
Iris Plus iGPU with 96 execution units
8-16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM
256-512 GB NVMe SSD storage
Wi-Fi6 + Bluetooth 5 + 4G LTE / 5G
RGB keyboard
12,000 mAh battery
USB-C port, micro HDMI video out and audio jack
Windows 10 Home pre-installed

Size: 6.8 x 5.4 x 0.8 inches

It is still unclear what the differences between the Pro and non-Pro versions are. We can assume that the Pro version will at least have the more powerful i7 processors, maybe even more RAM and more storage.
