This Monday (27th), Asics launched the Microflux, the first tennis model to use microwave technology in the midsole. The technology allows the midsole to be created in approximately 30 seconds, consuming 50% less energy compared to what the standard process would require. The model is part of a series of initiatives that have been taken by the Japanese brand with an eye on sustainability.
According to Asics, the upper in three shades presents aerodynamic style and adjustment, with an airy opening, which allows breathability without giving up comfort to the user, together with an exclusive eyelet line that gives the shoe a finish considered more elegant.
Available in female and male models, the new Microflux is already being marketed in the Brazilian market in four different colors. Due to the pandemic and the closing of physical stores at the moment, the model will be sold exclusively on the brand's e-commerce, with numbers from 36 to 44 and values from R$499.99(local currency).
Microflux is the sixth shoe launched by Asics in about 40 days, a period that has already been quarantined in some cities and states in the country. In the second half of March, the brand presented Evoride, followed by Metaride Amu. At the beginning of April, it was time for the launch of three other models: Metaracer, Metarise and Metasprint.
