Hue Leak Hints at New Outdoor Lights
Outdoor lights are in the Philips Hue ecosystem today, but there aren't many models to choose from. Perhaps that'll be much different next year. Due to a leaked product catalog obtained by Hueblog.de, we're getting an early look at what Philips could announce in the coming weeks. It appears the brand will roll out several outdoor lights including a garden spotlight, a wall lantern, a path light, and more.
The leak suggests Philips has a larger Lily in development. With the Lily XL, you'll receive a larger and brighter garden spotlight. Philips' regular Lily achieves 640 lumens, but the Lily XL ups that to 1,200 lumens. Additionally, it features some type of glare protection according to Hueblog.
Next up, take a look at the wall lantern known as the Impress. Philips sells the Impress series today with free-standing lanterns, but the latest model attaches to a wall. If you are still searching for a Hue-branded path light but don't care for the Impress series, the Nyro might be appealing. It sports an ultra-modern rectangular design. Philips plans on offering a wall lantern style of the Nyro as well.
Should you choose the Resonate, you'll receive a wall lantern that emits light above and below its construction. Philips has the front and sides covered in either black or silver depending on the variant purchased. It's unclear if the top and bottom can be set to display different colors, however.
Similarly, the Appear swaps out the Resonate's box-inspired design for a cylindrical layout.
The Daylo, meanwhile, is a circular wall lantern directing its light outward. Its diameter measures a little more than 8.5 inches, and the light hits 1,000 lumens of brightness. Hueblog notes the Daylo should be offered in black and silver colors, too.
