MAGFAST

The 500 amp power bank has 3 separate wireless charging coils

MAGFAST is a company set up to offer power accessories with an innovative magnetic interface. Its largest product is the Extreme, a charging station with 3 Qi-wireless charging coils on its top. It can also support USB type C, type A and Lightning-ported devices - as well as jump-leads for a car.The failure of Apple's AirPower product to launch may have left a gap in the market for accessories with multiple wireless charging coils. MAGFAST has jumped into it with the Extreme, a new and rather extensive power bank with 3 of them that conform to the Qi standard. However, this accessory has more besides to offer.
They include an in-built USB type C cable, which can also detach completely from the main body of the bank via MAGFAST's proprietary magnetic interface. This interface is also present on the rest of this company's products, such as its other power banks and Apple Watch-charging accessory, so that these devices can charge each other, or work in serial. There is an additional output, which supports 12-volt (V)/200-amp (A) charging.
This port also supports a set of MAGFAST jump-leads, which can be used to start a car with the Extreme's 500A battery. However, this cable is a separate purchase. Furthermore, the type-C cable's type A, Lightning port and microUSB analogs are also not included in the Extreme's box, and need to be plugged into the same interface in order to charge compatible devices.
Then again, it does have these ports in its sides - including multiple type-As - to either charge or use the bank with. Additionally, despite the apparent seal the detachable cable can create, as well as the 12V output's secure-looking cap, there is no mention of ingress protection for this product. This is a shame, as it would make a little more sense of the MAGFAST Extreme's US$198 price-tag on the company's own website.
