eReader: Tolino introduces Android-based Kobo clones

Tolino has released three new eReaders. Strictly speaking, they are not new, though. Instead, they are rebranded Kobo devices but pre-loaded with Android rather than Kobo's in-house software.
Tolino presented its set of new eReaders at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2019 earlier this month. However, these are not new products, but revised versions of Kobo devices. There are some benefits to these Tolino clones, though.
Not only do all three run an Android-based OS, but the entry-level Page 2 also has 8 GB of storage, double that of the Aura 2, its Kobo equivalent. Tolino's new midrange offering is the Vision 5, a Kobo Libra copy that has a 7-inch display and buttons for scrolling through pages. The Vision 5 is waterproof too. Meanwhile, the Epic 2 represents Tolino's flagship model, an 8-inch eReader that has a shatterproof display. The Epic 2, a Kobo Forma clone, also has an accelerometer for changing the orientation of the display on the fly, and buttons for scrolling through pages like the Vision 5.
The Page 2 costs €89 (~US$98), while the Vision 5 costs €229 (~US$254). By contrast, the Epic 2 costs €299 (~US$331). The eReaders are available to purchase from multiple retailers across Europe.
