Sharp S7 Android One
S7 Android One phone with 1-week battery life announced in Japan

Sharp announced a new smartphone in Japan today. The Sharp S7 is a mid-range Android One phone with some pretty interesting features including a battery life said to last up to 1 week.
The Sharp 7 is actually a rebranded Aquos Sense 3 Lite but comes with less RAM, less storage, and ditches the fingerprint scanner. It also comes with Pure Android (Android 10) and Google Assistant pre-installed unlike the Sense 3 Lite which runs Android 9 Pie and has Sharp’s Emopa 10.1 pre-installed.
The Sharp S7 has a 5.5-inch IGZO LCD screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080. Sharp says with its IGZO energy saving display technology, battery life can go up to 1 week.

There is a Snapdragon 630 processor under the hood along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It has a single 12MP f / 2.0 rear camera and an 8MP f / 2.2 selfie camera. There is electronic image stabilization (EIS) and AI features that help you to take better pictures.
The Sharp S7 has a 4000mAh battery but there is no mention of fast charging. It has an IPX5 / 8 waterproof rating, an IPX6 dustproof rating, and shock resistance.
Sharp says the S7 will receive at least one major update within the 24 months after its launch and will receive 3 years of security updates starting from when it goes on sale. There is no price tag yet but Sharp says it will be released in Japan after mid-December 2019. It will be available in peach, silver, and gray.
