LG

Brand launches its first true wireless earbuds in South Korea

LG has unveiled new products called the Tone + Free earbuds in its home country. Unlike the OEM's earlier similar products, these wearables are completely wireless and come in a charging case like the AirPods and other similar devices. They come in black or white and are available for pre-order from now.
LG has announced that its Tone + Free earbuds are now available in its home market. As with some of the latest premium Bluetooth speakers from this OEM, it has collaborated with Meridian Audio in an effort to enhance bass, treble and surround sound in these new wearables. They are also equipped with mics for both noise-canceling and voice functions.
The Tone + Frees also feature touch-sensitive pads on their outer surfaces for media controls. They can also be used to summon the Google Assistant, which can be controlled with vocal commands thereafter. Unlike their recent predecessors, which have taken the 'neckbud' form factor thus far, these new wearables are truly wireless earbuds. They have a stronger resemblance to Samsung's Galaxy Buds than to Apple's AirPods, but have a circular charging case like those of the most recent Huawei FreeBuds.
LG claims that 5 minutes in this case gives the new earbuds 1 hour of playback. A full charge, on the other hand, delivers 6 hours' worth of use. These earbuds are described as IP4X and having an "ergonomic" fit. The Tone + Free true-wireless earbuds come in black or white, the former of which is up for pre-order in South Korea from now until October 14, 2019. They will start shipping on October 28, followed by the white SKUs in November.
