Models 8 and 8A gets certified in Thailand, may launch soon

Following the launch of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, it is expected that Redmi also announces successors to the Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A. The successors which should arrive as the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A should launch soon as they have both been certified by Thailand's NBTC.
The certifications reveal the Redmi 8 has the model number M1908C31G while the Redmi 8A's model number is M1908C3KG. Other than that, nothing more is revealed about the two phones.
Before the launch of the Note series, live photos are supposed to be of the Redmi 8A surfaced on the web, revealing the design and some few specs. However, the model number of that device is M1908C3IH. A device with a similar model number - M1908C3IC, was certified by TENAA in August too.
Based on the TENAA listing and the leaked photos, the Redmi Note 8A will have a 6.2-inch display with a waterdrop notch. It will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. As an upgrade, it will have dual rear cameras with the primary sensor being a 12MP camera. It will also have a fingerprint scanner on the back. The selfie camera is an 8MP camera.
Another big upgrade is a battery bump from 4000mAh to 5000mAh. It will run Android 9 and be available in a bunch of colors including Black, Red, Blue, Pink, and White.
On, the other hand, the specs, and design of the Redmi 8 are still unknown. We expect more details to surface by the time Xiaomi starts shipping units to sellers.
