Brand launches Prestige PS341WU 34-inch HDR600 5K monitor, costs the same as the Apple stand after rebates

Although well-known for its curvy LED-heavy gaming monitors, MSI wants to prove that it can still design sleek no-frills monitors for professionals, too. The 34-inch Prestige PS341WU is expected to ship on September 16 with a $200 promotional rebate lasting from now until September 29.
MSI poked fun at the absurd $1000 Apple monitor stand earlier this year and its latest monitor adds salt to the wound. The 34-inch Prestige PS341WU is a 5K (5120x2160) ultra-wide (21:9) IPS monitor that promises both full sRGB coverage and 98 percent DCI-P3 coverage to appeal to the same kind of content creators and professionals that Apple iMacs tend to cater towards.

To celebrate its launch, MSI has teamed up with B&H to offer a $200 gift card to early buyers from now until September 29. The promo would knock the price down from $1199 to $999 which, perhaps not by coincidence, is the same price as the Apple stand.
MSI will also be running a giveaway for the monitor from now until September 29 where users can enter by following MSI throughout various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
