IFA 2019-Brand Introduces the Pulse 4, 20W portable LED speaker
The JBL Pulse 4 is the latest in a series of portable Bluetooth speakers that also light up as they stream audio. This iteration also has an IPX7 rating and an estimated 12 hours of playback. Its LEDs are controlled by a proprietary app, which also allows it to sync with multiple compatible devices from the same brand.
JBL, a subsidiary of Harman, has unveiled its latest LED portable speaker at IFA 2019. The Pulse 4 has an IPX7 certification against water ingress, thus ensuring that it can be taken anywhere the user wants. Its manufacturer estimates that it has a playback time of 12 hours per charge, which it does via a USB type C port.
Like the rest of its line, the JBL Pulse 4 has a "Lightshow" mode, in which its LEDs can adopt several patterns or colors as it audio streams. It does so via Bluetooth 4.2, which enables it to connect to 1 or 2 devices simultaneously. The LEDs are controlled through the JBL Connect app.

This app also allows the user to access the PartyBoost functions. This can also enact a mode in which 1 Pulse 4 speaker synchronizes with as many as 100 other JBL speakers in its range, provided that they also have this feature. The JBL Pulse 4 costs $199.95 and can be pre-ordered from now. However, it may not be shipped until September 24, 2019.
