Elite Dragonfly is a beautified EliteBook x360 1030, will offer features missing on the Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1
The Dragonfly convertible will differ from your typical Gray EliteBook by its blue chassis designed to attract attention and breathe new colors to the typically Gray Elite series. Expect availability in the weeks ahead since this Athena-certified system will run on the Intel 9th gen series instead of 10th gen.
HP launched its 13.3-inch EliteBook x360 1030 G4 / G5 Earlier this year with Whiskey Lake-U CPUs and new display options reaching 1000 nits. The 13.3-inch HP Elite Dragonfly expands upon the EliteBook x360 1030 series with a new coat of paint and even a lighter chassis starting at just under 1 kg to be one of the lightest business convertibles in its size category.

So why call it the Dragonfly and not the EliteBook x360 1030 G6? According to HP, the new name references the slightly iridescent blue color of the matte chassis and oleophobic protection which are first for the Elite series. The Magnesium alloy construction and MIL-STD 810G certification remain intact.
Aside from its attractive aesthetics, the model will inherit most of the features of the EliteBook x360 1030 G4 including the full size HDMI port, USB 3.1 Type-A port, optional 1000-nit touchscreen, and gigabit 4G LTE connectivity all of which are missing on the competing Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1. On the flip side, HP has dropped the MicroSD reader.

Interestingly, HP will opt for the latest generation Whiskey Lake-U series instead of the newer 10th gen Ice Lake-U or Comet Lake-U likely because of vPro integration.
HP has not yet announced any starting prices for the Dragonfly Elite, but all of its SKUs and options can be found on its full specifications sheet below. Note that two battery options will be available - a lighter 38 Wh version and a heavier 56.2 Wh version that promises over 20 hours of battery life.
