Xiaomi and Huawei top… list of smartphones that emit the most radiation
Concerns about the radiation emitted by the devices we use daily are real, by many studies indicating that there is no evidence that these radiations are not harmful to our health.
According to the World Health Organization, electromagnetic radiation can cause damage to our body. In the European Union, the regulatory body, CENELEC, specifies SAR limits following IEC standards. For mobile phones and other mobile devices, the SAR value limit is 2W / kg, considering a 10g tissue mass that absorbs most of the signal.
The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz) has a very comprehensive database of smartphones - new and old - and the level of radiation they emit during a call.
The following Ranking, developed by Statista, took into consideration the best selling brands in the smartphone world, namely Samsung, Apple, BlackBerry, Google, HTC, LG, Motorola, OnePlus, Sony, Xiaomi and ZTE.
Another Huawei model that stands out with a value of 1.64 W / kg is the Huawei Mate 9. Admittedly, all these are older models, however, considering the analysis of the statistics site, should be considered.
On the other hand, continuing to talk about Huawei, it is important to note that the newer models of the brand have much lower radiation levels, from 0.30 to 0.50 W / kg. The Huawei P30, for example, has a value of 0.33 W / kg.
The same goes with Xiaomi. Your new Mi A3, for example, has radiation levels of 0.30 watts per kilogram. The Redmi Note 7 already has a value of 0.59 W / kg.
