Nike Launches "Future" Sneakers That Answer Siri and Apple Watch Commands
Thursday (29), Nike announced its new bet to the market: a tech shoe called Nike Adapt Huarache, with the ability to connect with Siri or Apple Watch. The footwear operates through an intelligent platform called Nike FitAdapt. The idea is that the first wave of "tennis of the future" will hit the market starting September 13. The price has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to cost around $ 350 (the equivalent of about $ 1,458 in direct conversion).
The most striking feature of Nike's new product is the LED light, which was already part of some previous versions. But the big difference is that Nike Adapt Huarache is the first interactive footwear that connects with the Nike app. "The latest FitAdapt iteration allows for a wider range of personal preferences in various environments and situations," the company promises.
The other differential is the voice command. Look how crazy: users will be able, from the connection between the shoe and Siri, that the shoes are released just by saying the phrase "Hey, Siri, drop my left sneakers for me?". Thus, connecting to Apple's voice assistant involves custom adjustments, such as control over shoelaces, for example. In addition to customizations, the Nike app will also allow Nike Adapt Huarache to be used to access preset tuning recommendations for specific physical activities.
