LAVA

Brand insists that its new, 3GB gaming phone is "too fast to be left behind"

Lava is an Indian smartphone OEM that has just released a new gaming phone. Called the Z93, it has 3GB of RAM and 32GB in internal storage, whereas many other companies in this space seem compelled to go for more in both respects. It also boasts the Helio P22 SoC, Android 9 and dual rear "depth-sensing" cameras.
Lava asserts that its new Z93 allows you to "play like a pro". For the average Android OEM, this goal may be taken as an excuse to pack every new-fangled spec possible into a new phone. This Indian company, on the other hand, makes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB in fixed storage (although it does have a microSD card slot that can support up to 256GB more).
Most other gaming phones rely on state-of-the-art processors in order to ensure performance gains. Then again, iQOO took the most original tack of equipping its Neo with last year's flagship silicon (the Snapdragon 845) in order to seize the middle ground of this market sector. Lava has an even more novel solution: the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. This 2 gigahertz (GHz) octa-core processor is found in other phones such as the OPPO A1K and Vivo Y83.
The Lava Z93 also has a 6.22-inch screen with a "Dew Drop Notch". Its resolution is set at 720p, although it has a reasonably up-to-date 19: 9 aspect ratio. It also has dual 13 + 2MP rear cameras, as well as Android 9, which is skinned by the OEM's custom skin Star OS 5.1.
This phone has a 3500mAh battery, while other brands such as Black Shark, ROG Phone and Red Magic tend to aim for something closer to 5000mAh in their own 2019 gaming devices. Then again, they lack the Gameloft partnership secured by Lava for the Z93.
