Australian Smartwatch Saving Life
When Apple announced last year that Apple Watch could help save lives, a lot of people didn't take it too seriously and considered just one of the hype that comes and goes at company events. But an episode last week in Australia proves that the clock can indeed help save lives.
As reported by local site News.com.au, Australian Kate Donald has epilepsy and was home alone when she had an attack and fell to the ground. Luckily for her, she had an Apple Watch on her wrist. The watch detected the sudden fall and immediately sent a message to Kate's husband. Apple Watch also sent a message to Sydney's emergency service, and an ambulance was promptly sent to Kate's house.

The watch even sent her husband updates on Kate's location as she was taken to the hospital. After the incident, Kate was hospitalized for four days. But it was released and it goes well.
