Android will have similar option to AirDrop iPhone

AirDrop is considered by iPhone users as one of the most useful features of the smartphone, but judging by what 9to5google says, devices with Android operating system will not be slow to have something similar.
The publication states that Google has created a similar Fast Share name option, which will use a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to allow users to share files with nearby devices. It seems that this 'Fast Share' will allow sharing files with more equipment besides Android phones, opening space also to iOS that would need a special app.
For now the functionality in question still belongs to the domain of rumors but it should be a matter of time until Google confirm the option. Miguel Dias
