STREAMING

Netflix será mais exigente com conteúdo originalNetflix will be more demanding with original contente

Netflix may no longer be as responsive to original experimental content. According to The Information Netflix content manager Ted Sarandos said in a meeting with other executives belonging to television and film studios that the company would be more demanding with regard to large productions.
One of the examples that Sarandos has given of projects to avoid would have been 'Triple Frontier' with Ben Affleck, a movie that cost 115 million dollars (132.4 million euros) but could not succeed. Even if you do not stop betting on great productions, Netflix will probably stop betting on anything that 'pops in'.
This does not mean that Netflix stops creating original content or is less receptive to projects that otherwise would hardly reach the public. Series like 'Stranger Things' or 'La Casa de Papel', for example, are series that would hardly be approved by international television but have become immensely popular in the streaming service.
It should also be remembered that Netflix has set aside $ 15 billion for original content only by 2019, so we should not miss out on exclusive service series and movies in the near future. Miguel Dias
