SAMSUNG
New certifications have indicated that Samsung is about to release a new version of the Galaxy A10. The respected tipster Ishan Agarwal has just posted some potential specs for the phone on Twitter. They include better cameras, a bigger battery and the addition of a fingerprint scanner.
A number of leaks, some of which have come from official bodies such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), suggest that the Samsung Galaxy A10 is about to be supplanted by a new, improved model of (nearly) the same name. In fact, recent Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG approvals appear to confirm that this phone will be called the Galaxy A10s.
More recently, Ishan Agarwal has posted some more potential specs for the same, in conjunction with MySmartPrice. This leaker now projects that the phone will improve on the original A10 with a 4000mAh battery. In addition, this phone is now linked to a dual rear camera that will combine 13MP and 2MP lenses.
Agarwal also now asserts that the Galaxy A10s will gain an 8MP self-camera and a "2.0GHz processor". The benchmarks for what this phone was showed by the MediaTek Helio P22, this may be plausible. On the other hand, the tipster has not made any references to who his sources might be for this new rumor.
In addition, Samsung still has not released any official signs of a release date or price for the putative Galaxy A10s. This information might be of considerable interest to those in the market for a budget device with slightly premium features - or, indeed, those who have already shelled out the OG Galaxy A10. by Deirdre O Donnell
