Exynos 9825-powered Galaxy Note 10+ 5G hits Geekbench, outperforms the Snapdragon 855+

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 10 phones are expected to be powered by the Exynos 9825 and the Note 10+ 5G has finally hit Geekbench, posting scores that could very well make the devices the fastest Android phones on the planet. Yes, even ahead of the new Snapdragon 855+.
The Note 10 phones are just over a week away from their official launch event, and the Note 10+ 5G has now made its way over to Geekbench. The Note 10+ 5G is powered by the Exynos 9825 and managed to put up numbers competitive with the new Snapdragon 855+.
In the single-core test, the 9825 recorded a score of 4532. That's about a 20% advantage over the Snapdragon 855+. On the flip side, it's just 5% worse than the A12 Bionic. The impressive scores here are likely due to the big, higher-clocked custom Mongoose cores on the Exynos 9825.
In the multi-core test, the Exynos 9825 had a score of 10,431. Just like the Exynos 9820, the 9825 has a noticeable disadvantage when compared to the competition. The Snapdragon 855+ has been benchmarked at well over 11,000 on the Black Shark 2 Pro. Even the regular Snapdragon 855 routinely hits 11,000 in this test, ditto the A12 Bionic.
For the most part, single-core tests are more representative of real-life use cases, so the Exynos 9825 is definitely a capable SoC. Samsung has managed to breach the gap between its chipsets and Qualcomm's, and that's impressive, no matter how you look at it.
