Word has already been installed more than a billion times in Android

Microsoft Word has become the first Play Store application to be installed more than a billion times.
Microsoft's historic text software had already been the first to get past the $500 million barrier in the Play Store. Now, doubling that number, breaking new record, as The Verge highlights.
Note that this accounting is done not due to the download of the application but the installation itself.
With this in mind, it is only natural that many of these counted facilities refer to users who already had the application when they purchased the smartphone, since Microsoft has a deal with brands - including the giant Samsung - to do so.
Which means that many who have the application installed may have never used it. Still, the record was achieved, which leaves Microsoft Word among the most 'passionate' apps. Miguel Dias
