França quer obrigar Facebook e Google a remover discurso de ódioFrance wants to force Facebook and Google to remove hate speech

The French parliament may approve a new measure that will force technology giants like Facebook or Google to remove hate speech content from their platforms.
If they fail to remove said content, companies may receive higher fines with amounts up to 1.25 million euros. The measure is part of a broader initiative to regulate the Internet and aims to accelerate the process of moderation of large technology companies.
The measure was approved for discussion in the French parliament, and it will only be known later whether or not it will come into force. Miguel Dias
