SAMSUNG
Likely 7-inch variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab AThe new Samsung tablet has gone through FCC validation, and may thus be released soon. Judging by its model number (SM-T295), it will probably be unveiled as a Galaxy Tab A (2019) at this event. The new certifier's listing also suggests that it will be a 7-inch version of the existing Tab A 10.1, with a 4980mAh battery.
A new FCC approval for an upcoming Samsung device have surfaced online. Its model number is SM-T295, it is possible that it will be known as the Galaxy Tab A (2019) tablet on launch. There is already 1 variant of this line - the Tab A 10.1 (2019) - available. However, it seems that this new product has a screen that is 3.1 inches shorter.
An earlier leak is also suggested as a second version of the same device, the SM-T290. As the SM-T295 is seen to have cellular (4G, in fact) connectivity, it could be a WiFi-only SKU of the putative Galaxy Tab A 7 (2019). The current FCC entry in question also specifies the 4980mAh battery. As some of these phones have comparable capacities, this is not much to shout about in all honestly. Then again, it may appeal to those in favor of ultra-thin tablets.
Not much else is known for sure about this possible new device from Samsung. However, according to a Geekbench listing also attributed to the SM-T290 / 5, it runs on a quad-core SoC, which was designated Snapdragon and not Exynos. Less prepossessingly, it apparently had 2GB of RAM. This prospective 7-inch modern-day Tab A also ran Android 9, which may be overlaid by One UI. Judging by the precedence of the Tab A 10.1 (2019), it may have a metal casing with a single, rear camera in one corner. by Deirdre Donnell
