SAMSUNG

Samsung-Galaxy-A50-5281Apparently doomed Samsung Galaxy S9 Active may re-emerge as new mid-range toughphone

The Samsung Galaxy A50 was released a while ago for the global market but is yet to make its way into the US officially. That will likely change in the coming weeks, as it has now been semi-official confirmation of an imminent Galaxy A50 launch in the US.
Samsung has released a whole bunch of Galaxy A series phones since the beginning of the year, likely in an attempt to offer more options across the mid-range and sub-premium segments. The company launched the Galaxy A50 a while ago, with the device going on across the world. Like with most phones, however, it's still officially released in the US, but that may change soon.
According to a new report, the A50 is set to hit the US soon. A new update for the Samsung Pay app shows that the latest version supports the US model A50. That's solid enough that the device is on its way. This is not coming out of the blue either. Reportedly, a previous leak by Evan Blass has already touted a US launch scheduled for June 21. The device is expected to be carried across all four major US carriers.
The A50 is already bought online for around $ 300 but those are unlocked models and do not come with a US warranty. It is unknown what the official US model will cost but if history is any indication, it could go for as much as US $ 400. We think the Pixel 3a is much better value for money but that's a story for another day. Ricci Rox
