Supposed cover of the game FIFA 20 has Neymar; EA Sports denies
The official launch of the game Fifa 20 will be this week, but images of the supposed cover leaked on Twitter from the "Gamestop" store. In the photos released, Neymar will be the protagonist, even involved in a rape charge case. Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo was in the middle of a similar scandal and EA Sports, creator of the game, decided to remove the image of the Portuguese star from the official website and social networks of FIFA 19.
EA Sports, on the occasion, issued a statement claiming that "they were monitoring the situation closely" and that "I expected ambassadors to behave consistently to EA values." Sought by UOL Esporte, the game's producer stated that the leaked images are not official.
"The images on the internet are not the cover of FIFA 20," said Yeray Romer, Head of EA Sports Latam.
Other companies, such as Nike, Mastercard and Red Bull, which have contracts with the Brazilian national team's striker, are eyeing the controversial rape charge. M. F.
