Three different sources have advanced to the Politico website that the US government is currently considering banning encryption technology used in messaging services like WhatsApp.
Senior officials from the Trump administration have gathered this week to ban encryption technology that can not be accessed by the authorities, according to the report.
The current strategy may seem to follow two distinct paths, either to present the proposal to the US Congress or to issue a statement on the government's position on this type of technology. Regardless of which way the proposal goes, it is more than certain that the proposal will be heavily attacked by members of Silicon Valley. Miguel Dias
