Huawei willing to accept conditions imposed by the US
Huawei appears to be available to cooperate with the US to implement "risk mitigation measures" to ensure there is no risk of its equipment being used for spying in favor of the Chinese government. This is what security official for the US division of Huawei, Andy Purdy, said.
"We negotiate with their respective governments in different countries around the world in the kind of guarantee structure they need, whether in product testing or surveillance. That's what we did in the UK, it's what we're doing in Canada and it's what we're working on in Germany, "Purdy told CNBC.
Although it has not advanced what the pre-requisites imposed by the UEA, the executive said that Huawei is willing to 'sit at the table' to provide security guarantees on its equipment. It should be noted that US President Donald Trump himself had indicated that even with doubts about the security of Huawei's systems, the company could be included in a trade agreement between the US and China.
